Cocaine Possession, DUIs: Hinsdale Cops

A woman stopped for speeding now faces more serious charges, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the latest police reports:

Drug possession

  • Alana R. Rajcevich, 30, of Addison, was arrested about 1 a.m. Thursday in the 400 block of East 55th Street on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, DUI (alcohol), DUI (drugs), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding. She was stopped for speeding. She submitted to testing that indicated she was over the legal limit. She was in possession of a substance that field-tested positive for cocaine. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • Lisa M. Sims, 40, of Chicago, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Monday at Ogden Avenue and County Line Road on charges of DUI, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver and no valid driver's license. Sims was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A driver was stopped about 1 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of West 55th Street for an equipment violation and a failure to signal. The driver was suspected of DUI involving drugs. A white powdery substance was found in a plastic baggie. The suspect submitted blood and urine samples for a lab analysis. The suspect was released, pending the results of the lab report.

Converter thefts

  • A catalytic converter was stolen from a car about 11:30 a.m. Thursday in a parking lot in the 900 block of York Road. A witness saw a suspect under the car and a person standing next to it. The pair fled when officers arrived.
  • A catalytic converter was stolen from a car between July 18 and July 22 at Colonial Garden Apartments, 5506 S. Madison St. Last year, police reported at least three catalytic converter thefts at Colonial Garden Apartments. In one instance, suspects sped away from officers.

Felony revoked license

  • Acolen S. Davis, 46, of Chicago, was arrested about 8 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of West 55th Street on a charge of felony driving with a revoked license and speeding. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 600 block of Justine Court told police July 20 that someone used the resident's identity to open a phone account.
