About Clarendon Vision Development Center
Three part time positions immediately available:
Clarendon Vision Development Center is a growing optometry office in Westmont. In addition to our primary care practice, we also specialize in vision therapy and orthokeratology (ortho-K). We are looking for one part time optician (ave 18 h/week), and two part time vision therapists (ave 12-15 hours). If mutually desired, additional hours may be considered.
All candidates should be team players (punctual, reliable, great communicators), patient focused (engaging with patients, pays attention to "the little things"), and continuous learners (interested in learning/applying new things, creative problem solvers).
Our optician will also be trained to pre-test patients prior to being seen by the doctors. Previous optician experience not required. Preferred experience would be in customer service and/or sales.
Vision therapy is a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone else's life. Working one on one, the vision therapist helps the student how to use their eye more effectively. This results in a person who is able to do their work more efficiently, which changes their life in an incredibly powerful way (school/work are easier, sports more enjoyable). Vision therapists make a big difference in a relatively short amount of time- it can be very rewarding work! Previous experience in education is preferred, but not required.
