HDA Dancers go Professional

HDA Dancers go professional and tour with Albany Berkshire Ballet

This week marked a very exciting milestone at Hinsdale Dance Academy! HDA is proud to announce that two of its senior students, Julia May and Sarah Gresik, have signed their first contracts with a professional ballet company! This is a monumental moment for any aspiring professional. ancers work and train for their whole lives to reach this point in time. The girls have been chosen along with three other professional dancers, to spend holiday season in upstate New York in the beautiful Berkshires, working alongside Albany Berkshire Ballet, under direction of Madeline Culpo. This is the same company where Ms. Jennifer Grapes began her professional career.

After dancing leading roles in Hinsdale dance Academy’s “The Nutcracker,” the girls will head to New York and begin working with the Albany Berkshire Ballet company. The company will rehearse for two weeks before setting out on a four-week tour to Burlington Vermont, as well as noted areas of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York. The opportunity to work in a professional environment with all professional dancers will be a phenomenal learning experience for the girls, as well as a wonder addition to their résumés. We wish them a truly magical experience at Albany Berkshire Ballet!
