Hinsdale Cop Tries To Stop Carjacking Suspect: Police
The carjacking happened after police saw the suspect near dealerships on Ogden Avenue, according to a report.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police on Thursday tried to stop a stolen car's driver, who later carjacked another vehicle, authorities said.
About 11:30 a.m., officers saw the stolen car near car dealerships on Ogden Avenue. They tried to pull over the driver, police said in a news release Friday.
The driver, however, sped south on Interstate 294 and carjacked a vehicle that was stopped in traffic on I-294 near 55th Street, police said.

A Hinsdale officer came across the carjacking shortly after it happened and tried to stop the carjacked vehicle, according to police. The suspect sped north on Interstate 55, with the officer losing sight of him, police said.
No one was reported hurt. The state police are taking the lead in investigating the carjacking.
