The Lane School Begins Principal Search
Parents and staff are included on the interview team and are being asked to complete a brief online survey.
The Lane School principal Casey Godfrey has accepted a position as a principal at Lincoln Elementary School in River Forest District 90, beginning July 1.
District 181 Superintendent Don White congratulated Godfrey in his new position and thanked him for his service to the District.

“It is my goal to keep parents and staff informed to the greatest extent possible regarding the progress being made as we move forward in the principal selection process,” White said in a statement.
Parents and staff are included on the interview team and are being asked to complete a brief online survey about the school’s next instructional leader. The survey closes at the end of the day June 2.

Interviews will be conducted in June and early July, if necessary. The district aims to recommend a final candidate to the board in July.
Godfrey has served as principal of The Lane School in Community Consolidated School District 181 for three years. Prior to coming to The Lane, Godfrey served as an elementary school principal in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Godfrey began his career in education teaching fourth and fifth grades.
