Deter Recent 'Crime Pattern,' Hinsdale Police Urge
Drivers of stolen cars led officers in a chase, authorities said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale officers conducted "enhanced" patrols overnight Tuesday because of burglaries and car thefts in neighboring towns, police said in a news release.
About 3:30 a.m., officers saw two stolen cars near Ninth and Madison streets. Both drivers sped east on 55th Street, but officers ended the pursuit because of speed, the news release said.
The same night, a residential video from the 200 block of West Ninth Street shows suspects getting out of cars and checking car doors, police said. A resident in the 400 block of East Ninth reported a wallet stolen from a car overnight.
