Watch: Security Video Released from March Conflict at Hinsdale South
The video shows an interaction that has been the subject of complaints and an investigation within the District 86 school board.

Surveillance video of an encounter involving a Hinsdale Township High School District 86 school board member, a Hinsdale South High School student and a parent has been released to the press.
The video from Hinsdale South on March 12 shows an incident that sparked bullying complaints an online petition calling for the resignation of school board member Claudia Manley.
A student, Marissa Dupont, started the petition after she said she was bullied March 12 and 13 for handing out campaign materials before the spring play. Mary Sullivan, a Hinsdale South parent, was handing out the materials with Dupont on both dates.

The video was reviewed by an investigator who used it and personal interviews to determine that Manley’s remarks toward Dupont “were mean spirited and rude,” but they weren’t considered bullying.
At about the 10:20 mark, a group can be seen approaching Dupont and Sullivan from the right side of the video, though there is no sound. Some in the group continue toward the school, but Manley and her husband stay and talk.

The interactions last about seven minutes, and Dupont can be seen stepping away from the adults several times.
Dupont and Sullivan have said Manley told Dupont she was ruining the senior play, she was being a bad friend, she was a disappointment and she should be ashamed. Manley said she was shocked that campaign materials were being handed out before the play that night.
The Hinsdale South security video from March 13 was also made available by the school board.
