1 Death, 7 Cases Of Coronavirus At Victorian Village: IDPH
The data from May 8 marks an increase of four cases at the facility since the last data was reported May 1.
HOMER GLEN, IL — Victorian Village in Homer Glen has seven reported cases of coronavirus and one related death, the Illinois Department of Public Health reported May 8. Of the total seven cases reported, five are employees and two are residents, Sheila King, spokesperson for Victorian Village, told Patch.
One of the resident remains hospitalized, and the other resident has died, King said.
"Five are employees who tested positive for the virus and all are now at home in isolation," she added.

IDPH is now sharing the case numbers of residents and staff of long-term care facilities. The data is reported starting from the beginning of the coronavirus response on Jan. 24. Numbers are current as of May 8.
The cases included in the data include lab confirmed cases and cases meeting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention outbreak case definition. Facilities report the data to local health departments, who then report to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

On May 1, IDPH first reported the facility had three cases and one related death. The data from May 8 marks an increase of four cases.

Victorian Village is managed by Providence Life Services, which manages facilities in Illinois, Michigan and Indiana. Its Illinois facilities include Park Place of Elmhurst, Providence Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Downers Grove, Saratoga Grove in Downers Grove, Village Woods in Crete, Arbor Place in Lisle, and Thomas Place in Orland Park.
Victorian Village, 12600 W. Renaissance Circle, has 50 certified beds, according to Medicare's website. Medicare rates the facility "above average" overall. More specifically, it is rated as "average" for health inspections, "much above average" for staffing and "above average" for quality measures.
In Will County, IDPH is reporting there are 645 cases of coronavirus in long-term care facilities and 111 related deaths. Meadowbrook Manor of Bolingbrook now has the highest number of cases in the county, as well as the highest number of coronavirus related deaths in Will County. The facility has 173 cases, and 26 related deaths, according to IDPH.
