Haramija's vehicle, a Nissan, struck a Lincoln SUV and then struck a Hyundai head-on, which caused the engine compartment to catch fire and become engulfed into flames, the sheriff's office said. The driver of the Lincoln, a 55-year-old man, refused medical treatment at the scene.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 49-year-old woman, suffered extensive injuries and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, the sheriff's office said. She has been transferred for further treatment.
