'Bike And Brake For History' Ride Starts In Lockport
The ride is about eight miles round-trip on crushed limestone trails along the Illinois & Michigan Canal.
LOCKPORT – Enjoy the outdoors on at the “Bike and Brake for History" held on Saturday, June 1 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 1. Cyclists can meet at the Gaylord Building, 200 W. Eighth St., to start the ride.
The Forest Preserve District of Will County said the ride is about eight miles round-trip on crushed limestone trails along the Illinois & Michigan Canal. The preserve will share the origins of the waterway and its impact to Will County.
The program is free and is for those 12 and older. Register for the event by Thursday, May 30, at ReconnectWithNature.org or call 815-886-1467.
