"I have been truly blessed to have worked alongside such wonderful professionals. Within the last four years, I have been privileged with the charge of leading the Homer educational community from good to great," she said in her letter.
Coglianese said in her letter that though her time in the district was shorter than she imagined, she will look back on her time in the district with pride and satisfaction.
"I hope that you will join me in helping to make the transition for the next leader smooth and full of the hope and excitement that I had when I first joined the Homer family," she said in her letter. "I am confident that Homer has the structures in place now that will ensure the success of their next leader. Homer truly is a special place to work and grow. I wish Homer nothing but the best for a successful future ahead."
According to the district's website, Coglianese was named superintendent for the district in 2014. She was previously superintendent in a Bourbonnais school district for three years. She lives in Frankfort with her family.
The district’s superintendent search will begin as soon as possible, and the board hopes to name
