Homer Glen, Frankfort Gaming Business Burglary Footage Released As Police Seek Info
No arrests have been made in connection to the burglaries, which occurred last week throughout Will County.
WILL COUNTY, IL — After a rash of burglaries targeting gaming machines last week in Homer Glen and Frankfort, the Will County Sheriff's Office has released surveillance footage from two of the businesses.
The first burglary happened before 5:30 a.m. on Aug. 4 at Sam's Bar and Gaming in the 12300 block of West 143rd Street in Homer Glen, the sheriff's office said. Deputies were called to the business for a possible burglary in progress, and surveillance cameras show a gray Acura SUV RDX back up and park in front of the business.

In the footage, police said two masked suspects get out and use a sledgehammer and crowbar to force entry into the business. When officers arrived, the suspects were gone, police said.
The glass on the front door was broken, but nothing was taken from the business after fog machines were activated inside, police said.

While deputies were at the scene, police were also called at 5:35 a.m. to another burglary at Nick's BBQ Restaurant in the 15800 block of South Bell Road. The sheriff's office said the glass on the front door of this business was also broken, and several slot machines were damaged. Cash boxes, containing an unknown amount of cash, were removed.
A gray Toyota SUV was revealed to be the suspect vehicle in this incident, police said.
Then, at 5:57 a.m. on Aug. 6, deputies were called to the Chill House in the 7900 block of West Lincoln Highway in Frankfort for a burglary in progress.
The sheriff's office said police arrived and found the glass of the front door smashed, but no one was inside. Two gaming machines were forced open, and cash boxes were removed.
Surveillance video shows two suspects wearing all black and using sledgehammers to break into the business. The suspects were inside for less than three minutes, the sheriff's office said.
The suspect vehicle in this incident is believed to be a black sedan.
