Homer Glen Man Charged With Chicago Carjacking

HOMER GLEN, IL — A Homer Glen man has been charged with vehicular hijacking after authorities said he stole a vehicle in Chicago, according to Chicago police.

William Nixon, 28, was arrested Tuesday in Aurora, police said. Nixon was identified as the person who, earlier that day, stole a vehicle from a man in the 2500 block of South State Street in Chicago, police said.

ABC7 reported that Nixon stole a Porsche from radio host Maze Jackson, who has a show on WBGX 1570 AM. Jackson told ABC7 that Nixon rear-ended him, and when they got out to exchange information, Nixon got into his car.

Nixon was taken into custody in Aurora, extradited and charged, Chicago Police said. Nixon was also charged with receiving, possessing or selling a stolen vehicle.
