Lockport Firefighters Raise Funds For MDA
Lockport firefighters will be at the intersection of 159th and Farrell Road on Friday, Sept. 7 from 3 to 6 p.m.

LOCKPORT, IL — Members of the Lockport Fire Protection District will work with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and will be in Lockport with boots in hand for the firefighters' annual Fill the Boot fundraising campaign to help free kids and adults from the harm of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases that severely weaken muscle strength and mobility, according to a release from CITGO.
Lockport firefighters will be at the intersection of 159th and Farrell Road on Friday, Sept. 7 from 3 to 6 p.m.
According to a release, funds raised through 2018 Fill the Boot drives empower families with life- enhancing resources and support, including state-of-the-art support groups and Care Centers, including the MDA Care Center at Lurie Children’s Hospital, Rush University Medical Center, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, University of Illinois at Chicago, and Northwestern Hospital in Chicago.
