Lockport Man Robs Dunkin Donuts Demanding Cash, Doughnut: Cops

The man was later found by police while he was attempting to steal from the Lockport Walmart.

LOCKPORT, IL — A Lockport man has been charged with aggravated robbery after demanding money and a doughnut from the Lockport Dunkin Donuts on Sept. 24, according to police. Tyler Guenard, 25, of the 200 block of McCameron, has been charged with robbery and aggravated robbery while indicated he was armed with a firearm.

Police said Guenard entered the Dunkin Donuts, 1069 E. Ninth St., at 10 a.m. on Monday. He demanded money and a doughnut and threatened harm to an employee if the employee didn't comply. The employee gave him an unknown amount of cash.

Police Chief Terry Lemming said he couldn't say what weapon was used, as it could jeopardize the prosecution.

Lockport Police investigators were able to identify Guenard as the offender and he was later detained at the Lockport Walmart while attempting to commit a retail theft.

Guenard was interviewed, arrested and booked into the Will County Adult Detention facility. As of Sept. 27, he remains in custody. His bond has been set at $40,000 with 10 percent to apply.
