Lockport Park District Plans Melody In Motion Parade
Although the park district is closed due to the coronavirus, it will drive a themed wagon through Lockport neighborhoods April 18.
LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Township Park District is currently closed due to the coronavirus, but it will hold a Melody in Motion parade Saturday through Lockport Township neighborhoods. According to the park district, a themed wagon will drive through Lockport Township neighborhoods weekly.
This week's theme is "Frozen," and the wagon will be driving through neighborhoods from 12 to 3 p.m. April 18. You can vote which neighborhoods the wagon should drive through on the park district's Facebook page.

The park district said residents can watch the wagon drive by from their front window or yard. The event is weather dependent and will only run if weather is good and temps are above 50 degrees.
