Lockport's Old Canal Days Kicks Off June 9

The festival features a fireworks show, a parade, live music, carnival, artisan market, beer garden, wine tent and food trucks.

LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport's annual Old Canal Days will be held June 9-12 at the former Chevron property, 303 W. Second St. The festival features a fireworks show, a parade, live music, carnival, artisan market, beer garden, wine tent and food trucks.

The fest opens on June 9 with the carnival open from 5 to 11:30 p.m. Thursday is also Friends with Disabilities Day from 2 to 5 p.m.

The parade will help kick off festivities on June 10, stepping off on State Street between 12th and Third streets, according to the schedule.

Other highlights of the festival include the Lockport Woman's Club's artisan market on June 11 and June 12, a petting zoo, historic trolley tours, and a fireworks show, sponsored by CITGO, to close out festivities at 9:30 p.m. on June 12.
