New Superintendent Chosen For District 33C

A new superintendent has been chosen for Homer District 33C.

HOMER GLEN, IL — A new superintendent has been chosen for Homer District 33C. Craig Schoppe, who currently works for Frankfort School District 157C as director of human resources, was approved by the board April 24.

According to the district, Schoppe is no stranger to Homer 33C. He attended schools in the district as a child, and also served as principal at Butler School for five years. Schoppe also served as the district's Director of Support Personnel Services before going to Frankfort.

The district has approved an annual salary of $150,000 for Schoppe, with a contract extending through June 30, 2021.

Schoppe's approval comes after the resignation of current superintendent Kara Coglianese. Coglianese announced her resignation in February and will finish out the school year at the district.
