Obituary: Tamula Sue Baker

A walk-through wake will be held July 17 at Saint Joseph Church in Lockport from 9 to 10 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10 a.m.

LOCKPORT, IL — Tamula Sue Baker, 61, of Russellville, Missouri, formerly of Lockport, died Nov. 23, 2020, at St. Mary’s Health Center, in Jefferson City, Missouri.

She was born on July 18, 1959, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Darrell Lee and Mary Ann (Kanatzar) Butcher. On March 11, 1998, in Joliet, she married Glen Allen Baker.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was an excellent cook, loved to travel, camp and hike.

Survivors include her husband, Glen; her mother, Mary Ann Butcher, of Fulton, Missouri; her son, Timothy (Kristina) Lowman, of Channahon; a stepdaughter, Marti (Ryan) Krieger, of Lockport; a stepson, Warren Baker, of Joliet; six grandchildren, Connor, Kailey and Addison Lowman, Ben Baker, Coral, Avi and Lily Baker. A sister, Cherryll (Phillip) Mann, and two brothers, Timothy Butcher and Charles (Cathy) Sims.

She was preceded in death by her father, sister, Judy Burkhart, and brother, Darrell Butcher, Jr.
