• Mocktails At Messenger Woods Set For Oct. 15 (patch.com) — Adults in Homer Glen can enjoy a Halloween-themed evening at Messenger Woods on Oct. 15, featuring guided night hikes, themed mocktails, and a campfire with snacks. Forest Preserve naturalists will lead participants to several stops along the trails, where they'll sample different nonalcoholic drinks and learn about cultural and natural connections to the preserve. Registration is required by Oct. 13 and costs $5 per person.
