Stolen Cars, Theft: Homer Glen Police Reports

Will County Sheriff's Office reports for Homer Glen through Sept. 3.

The following information is from the Will County Sheriff's Office. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Aug. 29

  • Cameron Dziak, 27, of the 15700 block of Twin Lakes Drive, was arrested at 151st and Woodcrest for improper lane use, failure to signal, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and DUI.

  • Robert Woycheese, 22, of the 14900 block of South Suffolk, was arrested in the 14000 block of South Carlton for theft under $300 and criminal trespassing after he was caught by the homeowner stealing copper from the homeowner's yard.
  • A driver's license, cash and a credit card were stolen from an unlocked car in the 14000 block of West Rathfarn Drive.
  • A 2015 Porsche Panamera was stolen from the 16000 block of South Stonebridge Drive. A laptop was also stolen from a second unlocked car.
  • A driver's license and two Kate Spade purses were stolen from a car in the 14000 block of South Sawgrass.

Sept. 2

  • An iPhone and a set of car keys were stolen from an unlocked car in the 15000 block of West Cedar Glen Drive.
  • Two purses were stolen from the trunk of an unlocked car and a key fob for a second car was taken in the 14000 block of South Innisbrook Lane. The second car, a 2011 Volkswagen CC, was stolen. Deputies checked the registration of the stolen vehicle and found that Cook County Sheriff's Office had run the vehicle through the database several times between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. Deputies contacted Cook County and learned that they had recovered the vehicle in Lemont on Dixon Way. The car was found with several cigarette burn holes in the interior seating and scuff marks and scratches on the outside of the vehicle. The two purses stolen from the other vehicle were also located in the backseat of this car.

  • A Lululemon bag, three shorts, a wireless headset, running shoes and cash were stolen out of an unlocked pickup truck in the 14000 block of West Kildare Street.
