The NAACP's Chicago Far South Suburban Branch is condemning the behavior, praising H-F staff for protecting students, and demanding accountability, stronger racial equity efforts, and a thorough review by both the district and the IHSA.
   

• Great Lakes water safety nonprofit may be closing, finances in 'critical condition' (midmichigannow.com) — A Great Lakes water safety nonprofit founded and based in Homewood is warning it may shut down soon because its finances are in "critical condition." Co-founder David Benjamin says the group needs at least $10,000 quickly to keep operating its education, tracking, and lifeguard training work, and is asking supporters to donate online or by mail to its Homewood address.
