Suspect Described in Olympia Fields Bank Robbery

The FBI responded to a bank robbery at the Chase Bank on Vollmer Road Thursday morning.

UPDATED, 4 p.m., OLYMPIA FIELDS, IL —— The man who robbed the Chase Bank in Olympia Fields Thursday morning has been described as black, approximately 5' 8" in height, thin build and wearing all black clothing with a black mask. He had his head covered when the robbery was committed at 11:04 a.m. Thursday at the bank on Vollmer Road.

A weapon was shows in the robbery, which was described as a "takeover bank robbery" by the FBI.

OLYMPIA FIELDS, IL —— A Chase Bank was robbed in Olympia Fields Thursday morning. The FBI was en route to the bank at 3302 Vollmer Road just before noon, according to spokesperson Garrett H. Croon. The time of the bank robbery was reported at 11:06 a.m.

An initial description of the suspect is that he is a man who was dressed in dark clothing. He left on foot in an unknown direction, according to Croon.
