Mai Fest is back for the 5th year bigger than ever!&nbsp; With over 100 artisan vendors, 4 live bands, and food and drink, it promises to be a great day!&nbsp; A great way to celebrate Mother's Day weekend..find mom the perfect gift, or spend the day perusing the handmade goods and enjoying the live music.&nbsp; The fest runs from Noon to 5pm.&nbsp; There is free parking available in the city lots off of Western Ave north of the Cal Sag, and there will be a free shuttle to transport folks from the lots to and from the fest.

Serendipity Yoga and Wellness

Celebrate Mom a day early with a deeply nourishing restorative yoga experience. While this workshop honors mothers, it is truly for everyone. Moms, daughters, aunts, friends, and anyone seeking rest, connection, and care are warmly welcome.
Join Liz for a two-hour workshop designed to gently support the body, calm the mind, and open the heart. This practice will be rooted in restorative and yin yoga, offering long-held, supported postures that allow the body to release tension, soften deeply held patterns, and invite true rest.
Throughout the session, you will be guided through breathwork and meditation centered on cultivating love and compassion for yourself. With a focus on the heart and throat chakras, this practice encourages emotional release, authentic expression, and a deep sense of inner peace and connection.
The experience will also include a soothing sound bath with a gong and crystal singing bowls, allowing the body and nervous system to settle into deep relaxation while supporting energetic balance and integration.
We will close with an extended relaxation period, including an aromatherapy head and scalp massage, providing a final layer of grounding, comfort, and care.
This workshop is a beautiful opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and receive. A perfect gift for yourself or a woman you love.You are invited to come dressed comfortably, bring your yoga mat, and wear anything that helps you feel comfortable when lying down. Pillows, blankets, a sleeping bag... the sky is the limit. Plan to bring a sweater or&nbsp;wrap to keep warm while&nbsp;you rest.
Please note that no refunds will be provided. If you need to cancel, your credit may be applied toward a future event at the studio. However, if you do not cancel and do not attend, your credit will be forfeited.

The Bradford Barn - Olympia Fields

Twenty Pearls Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to sponsoring programs and initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents throughout Chicago and the Southland communities. For 25 years, the Foundation has proudly served the Chicago Southland, awarding more than $320,000 in scholarships to deserving, college-bound students. To sustain and expand these efforts, the Foundation hosts several fundraising events each year.
In keeping with our longstanding tradition of service and excellence, the Foundation Board President and members are proud to present the Miss Prominent Pearl Cotillion, “Frosted Pearls of Opulence.”
This signature cotillion program is thoughtfully designed to promote academic excellence, personal development, leadership, and civic responsibility. Selected participants will engage in a series of educational workshops, enrichment activities, and community service initiatives, while also gaining opportunities to earn scholarships.
We are currently seeking rising juniors and seniors to participate as debutantes and escorts. An informational session will be held on Monday, May 11, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

Serendipity Yoga

In a world that often feels fast, noisy, and overwhelming, calm doesn’t happen by accident — it’s cultivated. Seeds of Serenity is a gentle, yet powerful 4-week mindfulness course designed to help you grow steadiness from the inside out. Using the beautiful metaphor of a garden, we’ll move step by step through the foundational practices of mindfulness — preparing the soil, planting the seed, tending the garden, and harvesting the fruits of awareness.&nbsp;


Each week builds upon the last, offering practical tools you can immediately bring into daily life. Whether you are brand new to mindfulness or looking to deepen an existing practice, this course provides accessible guidance, meaningful reflection, and supportive community.


Learn how to:- Ground yourself in the body to create stability and safety- Strengthen focus and calm through mindful breathing



- Skillfully relate to thoughts and emotions with greater ease
- Cultivate compassion, gratitude, and sustainable inner peace
Through guided meditations, gentle reflection, and home practices, you’ll begin to notice subtle yet profound shifts—less reactivity, more clarity, deeper presence. You don’t need a “green thumb” for meditation. You simply need willingness and curiosity. Calm is not something we chase — it’s something we grow. Join us as we plant the seeds of serenity.What to Bring + How to Prepare
You are invited to come dressed comfortably and in layers. Please bring your yoga mat and wear anything that allows you to sit, move gently, and relax with ease. A sweater, shawl, or wrap is highly recommended, as the body can cool during stillness and rest. Chairs will be available for anyone who prefers seated support at any point.
You may also wish to bring a notebook or journal for personal reflections, notes, or insights that arise during our time together. Writing is always optional and offered as a supportive tool for integration.
Water, tea, or another nourishing beverage is welcome. Please feel free to tend to your needs throughout the session by adjusting your posture, taking breaks, or resting as needed. This is a space where listening to your body is encouraged.

Treble makers is a fun group where players learn to read music quickly, build solid tone and tonguing (“tu”), and develop fundamental ensemble skills. Over 12 weeks, we’ll play canons, ostinati, and short songs; practice steady pulse, entrances/cutoffs, and part-holding; and rotate roles (melody, harmony, drone). Designed for ages 4 and up. 
Please bring a recorder if you have one but they are also available for purchase at Melody Mart.
