Shoplifter Pushes Employee, Drops $16 Worth Of Goods: Cops

Reports of retail theft and deceptive practice have been made in Homewood.

The following information is from the Homewood Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Deceptive Practice

Terry Keva, 30, of Dolton was charged with identity theft at 3:51 p.m. on July 13 at Kohl's, 17620 Halsted. Keva opened a Kohl's charge and attempted to make purchases with personal identification information that she was not authorized to use.

Retail Theft

Joshua Bertrand, 25, of Markham was charged with retail theft at 4:34 p.m. on July 16 at Kohl's. Bertrand concealed items and exited the store without paying for the merchandise which had a total retail value of $115.99.

Levenia Williams, 49 of Markham, was charged with retail theft and battery at 7:23 p.m. on July 16 at Dollar Tree, 17510 Halsted. Williams concealed items and passed the final point of purchase without paying for the merchandise which had a total retail value of $16.00. When an employee asked for a receipt, Williams pushed passed the employee and dropped the bag that contained the merchandise.
