PSC Foundation Seeking Golfers for Annual Fundraiser

It’s been a long winter and wet spring. Historically, Chicago weather turns nice after Memorial Day. Make plans to enjoy the June weather, and sign up for the Prairie State College Foundation 18th annual golf outing.

The event will be held on Monday, June 6, at the Idlewild Country Club, 19201 Dixie Highway, Flossmoor. All proceeds support student scholarships. The foundation awards more than $100,000 annually in scholarships to PSC students.

“The golf outing is a vital source of PSC Foundation scholarship funding and empowers students to reach their educational goals,” said Dan Nevills, PSC Foundation director representing UPS and chair of this year’s event.

The day begins at 11 a.m. with lunch and the driving range followed by an 18-hole scramble with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Contests and prizes are set up throughout the course including four hole-in-one opportunities as well as $5,000 putting and $1,000 chip shot contests.

The event concludes with an awards reception, live auction, and cocktails at 5:30 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner at 6 p.m.

To help raise additional funds for scholarships, sponsorship opportunities are available. All sponsors will be listed on signage and in the event program.
