Girls Field Hockey Photo Gallery: No Dancing in Rain for H-F
The Homewood-Flossmoor girls field hockey team dropped a 5-0 decision to Lakes Community in a matchup played in the rain.
There was no singing, no dancing in the rain.
After the Homewood-Flossmoor girls field hockey team dropped a 5-0 decision to Lakes Community on Monday, there was a good word from Viking coach Julie Gaham, though.
"They played well together and have improved on their communication as a team," Gaham said. "We still need to work on offense. They did much better in passing, hitting and moving the ball."

"Two players to look at are the team captains," Gaham said. "Ellice Boskelly played well today. Our other captai, Katie Steinmetz, has really strong hits and leads the team vocally as well.
"We've got a great team. We've got the ability to win, but we've had a couple of tough losses."

Gaham encourage residents to stop out for H-F's game vs. Stevenson on Oct. 5. The start time is 6:15 p.m. The Vikings will be raising funds for the Cancer Support Center that day.
"The girls will be wearing shirts in support of cancer research," Gaham said. "It will be a good game to watch as well."
