Heroin Arrest Made On Dixie Highway On Valentine's Day

Two grams of heroin turned up during a traffic stop on Valentine's Day, police said.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Police in Homewood said they found what they believe to be heroin during a traffic stop in the village on Valentine's Day.

James O'Connor, 39, of Lake Station, Indiana was stopped in the 18400 block of Dixie Highway at 6:27 p.m. on Feb. 14 and was charged with possession of controlled substance, driving while license suspended/revoked, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage, according to a police report.

The case involves two grams of "suspect heroin," police said.
