On Her Game: H-F's Adesuwa Osabuohien
Vikings' junior girls tennis standout feels like she has some unfinished business to attend to at IHSA state tourney.
Homewood-Flossmoor junior girls tennis player Adesuwa Osabuohien has found that many people have a hard time pronouncing her name.
People in the Illinois high school tennis world, no doubt, have no problem doing so after Osabuohien’s performance on the court last season.
As a sophomore, Osabuohien went 25-3 in the regular season, won a sectional championship in singles play and earned a 5-8 seed for the IHSA state tournament.

She fell in the fourth round of the championship bracket to eventual state runner-up Keisha Clousing of Wheaton-Warrenville South.
“I am looking forward to going back downstate and doing better than I did last year,” Osabuohien said.

The Vikings return all six of their state qualifiers to a team that won the Southwest Suburban Blue Conference title, captured the school’s 26th straight sectional championship and finished 10th in the state tourney.
“I will consider my season a success only if I end up winning the state championship,” Osabuohien said.
