Junior Brad Holt placed second in singles competition at the Homewood-Floosmoor Sectional and helped the Vikings nail down a second-place finish in a tight race for the team title.
Hold dropped a 6-4, 6-1 decision to Marian Catholic's Julian Childers in the singles final. And Childers' work powered the Spartans to the championship with 26 points. H-F placed second with 24, followed by Andrew 23 and Oak Forest 11.

The Vikings caught of glimpse of what their future could look like when freshman Jeremy Miller battled Andrew's Brian Moy in a back-and-forth quarterfinal dual. And the H-F doubles team of senior Jack Schumann and junior Kodie Hayes turned in a second-place finish.
Schumann and Hayes dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision to Marian Catholic's Mitch Zavesky and Kyle Scheffers.
