Sports Photo Gallery: Vikings Earn Praise in Defeat

Homewood Flossmoor put up a fight to the end but was overmatched in a 10-4 loss to Sandburg in the Lincoln-Way North boys water polo sectional final.

"We were beat by a real good team," H-F coach Tim Caldwell said. "We did not execute our offense early, and we didn't answer (with) enough goals."

H-F scored all four of its goals in the second half. Still, Caldwell praised his team.

"These boys came every day and gave me everything they had," he said. "They were a joy to coach."
