19 Illinois Restaurants Win Statewide Award

The Illinois Office of Tourism has recognized 19 restaurants across the state with a special award thus far in 2014.

In order to receive the honors, along with a special certificate eateries can proudly display on their front doors, they must be unique to Illinois and a staple of their communities.

From southern Illinois to the Wisconsin border, these 19 popular food joints were bestowed the state’s top honors. If you didn’t see one of your favorites on here, there’s still time to nominate.
