Rainbow Warriors joins Relay for Life of Huntley

Celebrating our cancer survivors.

Welcome team 'Rainbow Warriors' to our Relay for Life of Huntley!  I'm happy to announce that this team formed to celebrate another birthday!!  They've shared their 'Why I Relay' story below.

"We formed this team to celebrate Debbie's 46th birthday! She was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in June of 2012. After a lumpectomy/lymphnode removal, 4 months of chemotherapy and 2 months of radiation she is happy to report that she is cancer free and will be able to celebrate another birthday on June 13th of this year. At first we were going to call ourselves 'Gone Pink' but breast cancer isn't the only cancer we are walking for, so 'Rainbow Warriors' seemed more fitting. Our members will wear color ribbons that support the cancers they are walking for."

Rainbow Warrior's team captain walked with our Relay in 2011.  We are thrilled to have her and team joining us this year!
