Upcoming events from the Huntley Area Public Library's Friends Foundation include a book sale, Culver's Night, Green & Clean Day and more!

Friends Foundation April Book Sale

Saturday, April 6 from 9:15am – 1:00pm in the Library Program Room – Prices as marked starting at $.50!

Sunday, April 7 from 12:30 – 4:00pm in the Library Program Room – $5 Bag Sale: fill it with as much as it will hold!

Reconditioned Computers will also be for sale for $50, and include a keyboard, mouse, and all cords.

Culver’s Night Fundraiser (Huntley location)
Tuesday, April 9 from 4:00 – 8:00pm

The Friends earn a percentage of the proceeds for your Drive-thru or Dine-in purchases.

 

Huntley Green & Clean Day

Saturday, April 27 from 9am – Noon

Bring your paper recycling to the east side of the library parking lot, and look for the green and yellow bins.  Friends members will be on hand during these hours to help you unload your paper recycling, and you will receive a free reusable Friends Foundation bag.   Friends earn money for the paper you recycle.

 

Saving America’s Scenic Wonders Breakfast Fundraiser

Tickets available through Wednesday, April 24

Wednesday, May 1 from 9:30 – 11:30am at Boulder Ridge Country Club.

Actor R.J. Lindsay portrays Stephen T. Mather, founding director of the National Park Service, and tells the story of how he saved our National Parks from neglect, logging and development. Stunning photographs of our National Parks and wildlife will accompany the presentation and stories about how the park system doubled in size under his leadership. 

Purchase tickets for $30 by April 24 to attend the breakfast and presentation.  Tickets are available at the Library Information Desk.
