Police are investigating the apparent stabbing of a woman found dead Monday night at a home in Carpentersville.
Police were called to a home at 127 S. Lincoln Avenue at about 9:54 p.m. after a neighbor heard a disturbance, went to investigate and found the woman suffering from apparent stab wounds, according to Carpentersville police.

An investigation into the woman’s cause of death is ongoing. The identiy of the victim is being withheld at this time as police notify next of kin.
