Cakes for a Cure

I am writing on behalf of "The Rack Pack" and Colonial Café. The Rack Pack is a team of ladies who are participating in the 3-Day 60 mile walk for Breast Cancer in August. Colonial Café, located at 2555 Bunker Hill Drive in Algonquin, is graciously supporting our team by hosting "Cakes for a Cure" on Thursday, August 2. Colonial Café will be making Pink Pancakes and selling them for a penny all day, from opening to closing.  In order to receive a pink pancake for a penny each, a beverage must be purchased and this is dine-in only.

Our Team will be out in front of the Algonquin Colonial Café to create awareness, educate patrons, and collect monetary donations to help us get closer to our fundraising goal of $9,200 to walk in The Susan G. Komen 3-Day on August 10-12 in Chicago. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a life-changing journey and many things to many people. No other breast cancer event in the country asks you to walk as far or raise as much money as the 3-Day. It is simply the boldest thing you can do in the fight to end breast cancer.
