Area businesses to host Customer Appreciation Celebration to benefit Boys and Girls Club of Dundee Township.

Area businesses Bii Hair Salon, Dessertful Bakery and Edward Jones of the Tartans Crossing shopping center will host a Customer Appreciation Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, August 11 at 1955 Huntley Road, West Dundee. The event will feature food, fun and a benefit drawing in support of the Boys and Girls Club of Dundee.

The drawing will be unique in that at the time of ticket purchase benefactors will be able to choose which prize they would like to win. All three businesses will provide prizes, including hot tools from Bii such as a blow dryer and flat iron, a gift basket of bakery items from Dessertful and from Edward Jones great gadgetry such as a Blue Ray player. All proceeds will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Dundee Township.
If you’re feeling lucky, you can extend your donation power by participating in the 50/50 Pie Eating Contest Drawing. Purchase a ticket and select who you think will take the pie-eating title. Contestants include Curt McReynolds, Executive Director Boys and Girls Club of Dundee Township; Ernie Gamino, Edward Jones; Melissa Hernandez, President, Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce; John Skillman, Assistant Chief, Village of Carpentersville Fire Department; and Adam Swanlund, Co-Owner, Bii Hair Salon.
For the children there will be a clown creating a menagerie of balloon animals and area police and fire departments will be present to provide a Touch-A-Truck opportunity.
Good fun also will include thank you-freebies such as cookies from Dessertful Bakery, colorful hair extensions from Bii Hair Salon and hot dogs from Edward Jones.
