Frugal Family: Deals To Keep Summer Around Longer

Each week through this column, we will present deals and tips to help keep the family budget in check.

Fall is quickly closing in on us and soon we will be back into our school and work routines. Therefore, this week we have a few deals to hold onto summer a bit longer and help keep the memories fresh in our minds.

Take the kids out to eat on National Vanilla Frozen Custard Day and get a free cone with purchase on today (Wednesday, Aug. 17) at . If you can't make it to Culver's then IHOP has a free kid's meal deal through the end of August.

Do you have pictures of your summer vacation that are taking up space on your computer’s hard drive or worse yet on your camera’s memory card? If so, has various deals for your photo printing needs. In addition, you may want to check out their gift printing deals, Grandparents day is next month and a photo mug makes for a nice gift.

This coming weekend, Bass Pro Shops, in the Gurnee Mills Mall, will be having a free “Next Generation Weekend” event for the entire family.
