Huntley Library: Masking Requirement Beginning Monday, August 2, 2021

On July 27th, the CDC issued new guidance adding a recommendation for fully vaccinated people to wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission. On July 29th, the CDC revised its Level of Community Transmission map, raising McHenry County’s level of community transmission from moderate to substantial.

The library will continue to follow CDC guidelines with regard to COVID-19, particularly masking requirements. As a result of these updates, beginning Monday, August 2, 2021, the library will require all individuals (library users and staff members – including volunteers) to properly wear a well-fitting mask while inside the library building, regardless of vaccination status.
