Keicher, Syverson to Host Property Taxes Exemption Event in Kane Co.

Free event to help you file for homestead exemptions in Kane County.

Please join State Rep. Jeff Keicher, State Sen. Dave Syverson and Kane County Supervisor of Assessments Mark Armstrong for an event to help you file for homestead exemptions in Kane County. This is a walk-in event; no appointment is necessary.

All exemptions require a driver’s license or State ID showing the current address

Please have copies of the following documents to file for these targeted exemptions:

Senior Citizen: DL or state ID showing current address and birthdate.
Senior Freeze: Copies of your entire 2025 Federal Tax Return for all household members to be submitted with the application.
Persons with Disabilities: Copy of proof of class 2 or 2A disability (State ID Card, SSI benefits, or physician statement).
Veterans with Disabilities: Copy of VA service disability letter showing a combined rating of 30% or more.
Returning Veterans: Copy of DD214 (if discharged) or travel orders (if still active).
