The Center for Independent Living offers free services to people with disabilities. If you live in Lake or McHenry County and have a disability, any disability, then you qualify. This month we highlight the ITAC Amplified Phone program for people who are hard of hearing. Lake County Center for Independent Living can help you select an amplified phone that allows you to talk with your friends and family on the phone with an amplification that best fits your hearing loss. The center is a not-for-profit that provides this and other services free of charge to those who are seeking a more independent life.
