Police: Person of Interest Arrested in Carpentersville Stabbing Death

A ”person of interest” has been arrested in the apparent stabbing of a woman found dead in a Carpentersville home Monday night, police said Tuesday afternoon.

Carpentersville Police said the incident that left a middle-aged woman dead appears to be “domestic-related” and the public should not feel alarmed, according to a news release.

Police were called to a home in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue at about 9:54 p.m. after a neighbor heard a disturbance, went to investigate and found the woman suffering from apparent stab wounds, according to Carpentersville police.

An investigation is ongoing. The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time as police notify next of kin.
