A Chicago woman has been arrested for prostitution after police received complaints of suspicious activity at the "Spring Spa" in the 5600 block of Illinois Route 31 in unincorporated Crystal Lake, according to a McHenry County Sheriff's Office press release.
Police arrested Shufang Lu, 49, on Monday after also learning she did not have a license to practice massage therapy and since the "Spring Spa" does not have a valid business license, according to the news release.
She was transported to the McHenry County Correctional Facility. She is charged with prostitution and unlawful practice of massage therapy and is next expected in court on Nov. 14 at 1:30 p.m.
