Speaking in support of House Bill 301, State Representative Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore) lauded the legislation for ensuring the continued support for AIM HIGH Grants, like the NIU Huskie Pledge that ensures Illinois’ best and brightest students will be able to attend college.

“Northern Illinois University has been able to support underprivileged and first generation students attain the dream of attending college,” said Keicher. “But now, through the addition of grants that make up the AIM HIGH Huskie Pledge, anyone with sufficient grades coming from a household with income under $75,000 can attend NIU with their costs covered. Access to a quality education is the key to lifting people up, and I’m extremely proud of AIM HIGH and what it is doing for our students.”
