Already in full Halloween mode? Here are 13 biggest horror movie box office hits filmed in Illinois.

If you watch TV, you’ve probably noticed an uptick in commercials for horror movies as we approach All Hallows’ Eve.
Illinois’ film industry generated record-breaking revenue in 2013 of $358 million -- an increase from $184 million from the previous year -- and is well represented during the Halloween horror movie season.
Using the International Movie Database (IMDb) website, we’ve listed the top 13 highest-grossing horror movies filmed in Illinois, all of which were filmed in either Chicago or its surrounding suburbs.

While there are a few good ones, most are nothing to write home about, but clearly the Illinois governor race is as Bill Clinton, Vice President Joe Biden, and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie make stops in Illinois to drum up support for Gov. Pat Quinn and Bruce Rauner.
