Where to Have Brunch on Mother's Day

Mother's Day is the perfect time to treat the moms, grandmas, sisters and aunts in your life! Celebrate the holiday, which falls on Sunday, May 12 this year, by enjoying a delicious brunch at a local restaurant. 

Here are some options worth checking out at area restaurants: 

D'Andrea Banquets

4419 Northwest Highway in Crystal Lake —  (815) 459-7234

A champagne brunch buffet will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mother's Day at D'Andrea Banquets in Crystal Lake. The buffet will include an omelette and waffle station; roast beef, ham and turkey carving station; pancakes; a wide variety of salads; a complimentary glass of champagne and more (more details are available on D'Andrea's website). The cost is $26.95 for adults and $11.95 for children while three years old and younger are free. Reservations are suggested.  

Holiday Inn and Conference Center

800 S. Route 31 in Crystal Lake — 815-404-2019

The Holiday Inn is hosting its annual Mother's Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 12.  There will be a carving station, omelette station and a dark chocolate fountain. Call for more details or to make a reservation.

Mandile's Italian Restaurant

2160 Lake Cook Road in Algonquin — 847-458-4000

Brunch will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a special dinner will be available from 4 to 8 p.m. The brunch is $25 for adults and $13 for children. The brunch will include 50 different items to choose from, including, Italian omlettes, Easter scrambled eggs, several pasta dishes, Italian sausage, salad, frittata and more. Niko's Lodge

Port Edward Restaurant

20 W. Algonquin Road in Algonquin — (847) 658-5441

Port Edward Restaurant offers a popular Mother's Day buffet. More details are available by contacting the restaurant. According to the Port Edward Facebook page, "reservations are very limited and all reservations are being taken only via phone in order to confirm availability..."
