Wisted's Supermarket to Become Piggly Wiggly
The local supermarket will join forces with the chain starting on July 31, according to the Northwest Herald.
The Huntley Wisted's Supermarket — along with Wisted's Supermarkets in Marengo and Woodstock — will become Piggly Wiggly grocery stores starting July 31, according to the Northwest Herald.
Harold Wisted, owner of Wisted's Supermarkets, told the Northwest Herald he hopes the change will help bring the "pricing power" of a large chain with the continued local service customers are accustomed to.
Wisted's Supermarket in Huntley is located at 10442 Illinois 47 while the Woodstock Wisted's is located at 330 N. Eastwood Drive. The Marengo Wisted's is located at 21775 W. Grant Highway.
