
Tomora Summit was welcomed into the world August 5, 1922 in Terry, MS to the late Lucy and Sency Robinson. Tomora accepted Christ at an early age. She became a member of Brown Chapel AME in 1950 and served until her sunset.
Tomora leaves to celebrate her life; two sisters: Kathryn Robinson of Joliet IL, and Florine Rucker of Jackson, MS; three brothers: Ernest Robinson, Burnett (Margaret) Robinson and David (Mary Joyce) Robinson of Terry, MS; children, two daughters: Gustine Summit and Vanessa (Greg) McCullum; three sons: Paul (Pat) Summers, Sency Summers, Roscoe (Deborah) Summers of Joliet, IL, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation, Friday, June 15, 2012 2-4pm at the funeral home and 6-8pm at Brown Chapel AME 1502 Mills Rd., Joliet IL. Visitation Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 9am Home-going service at 10 a.m., Pastor Lishers Mahone, Jr., officiating. Interment following at Elmhurst Cemetery.
