JOLIET, IL — A 28-year-old Joliet woman was released from the Will County Jail two days after Crest Hill police arrested her in connection with a car crash into a house in the 2300 block of Plainfield Road. Elizabeth Paredez, who lives in the 500 block of Pico Street, was booked into the Will County Jail around 7:30 a.m. Monday on two charges of reckless conduct.

According to the Crest Hill police criminal complaint, Paredez grabbed the steering wheel of a male companion's vehicle "and turned it toward a residence located at 2353 Plainfield Road, Crest Hill, causing the vehicle to strike the residence."

Court records indicate that Paredez was given a $5,000 bail. She must not have any further contact with the man she was traveling with, and she must also stay away from the house on Plainfield Road that Crest Hill police say she damaged, court files indicate.
