Chaney Monge Staff has a “Big Mac” of a Time at McTeacher’s Night

oliet| Chaney Monge Elementary School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support raising money for Family Night for 2019-2020 school year.

Teachers and support staff from Chaney Monge volunteered behind the counter on Wednesday, April 17th, 2019, at the Joliet McDonald's on Broadway, where they served students and their families in a fundraiser.

Teachers Dastych, Dzak, and Martinez wore an Apple Pie Costume, while teachers, Serritella and Moody, tended the Apple Pie sales during the night.

The proceeds from the 240 Apple Pies sold went directly to benefit Chaney Monge. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher's Night sales were also donated directly to the school and will be used towards a Family Night for the next school year.

Marvin Spence, Owner-Operator of the Joliet McDonald's is delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.

"Thank you to McDonald's for hosting this event!”It's so great to see all the teachers who volunteer having fun at the McTeacher Night! We are grateful for the support of our school families and community!” said Colleen Moody, Chaney Monge fourth grade teacher and coordinator of the fundraising event.
